About CIFTI

Confederation of Indian Food Trade and Industry (CIFTI), the only industry association of it’s kind in the country, was established by Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry in 1985 to cater specifically to the need of Food Industry and Trade. CIFTI not only provides institutional support at the national level but also plays a pivotal role in partnering the Government and the private sector in promoting the development of food processing on the global platform.

CIFTI’s gamut of activities not only covers the food-processing sector but also includes allied industries like food ingredients, technology & machinery, packaging and food services industry etc. Representing directly and indirectly around 2500 companies (a wide and varied spectrum of the food industry) CIFTI is supported by strong networking with similar organizations, both at the national as well as at the global level. CIFTI’s skills and expertise in providing information services by virtue of being the knowledge hub for the food processing industry is unmatched.
